Print Production - BIGFOOT

BIGFOOT is not a normal Bigfoot show where they explore the sightings of Bigfoot, however my interpretation of it is different as it's a mockumentary of Bigfoot, people go on a hunt for Bigfoot however it isn't Bigfoot but really just a normal person. I wanted to show all this in my poster so I used a footprint of a shoe with the title BIGFOOT over the top to show that Bigfoot is a normal person but also it doesn't give too much away so its still leaves a sense of mystery like other Bigfoot shows. My inspiration was just other Bigfoot shows where they show his foot in the mud but obviously put a twist on it by using an easily recognisable footprint. I like the simplicity of my poster with the black borders on the top and bottom to make it more cleaning easier for me to put the other things like reviews, date and channel. I did edit the photo on photoshop to make it slightly more darker and dim the bright leaves so it allows the title to pop out more from the background picture. The font is quite a neatened up font to go with the Bigfoot style but also has shapes of buildings at the bottom of each letter to also reinforce the point of Bigfoot just being a normal person. Colours are quite simple as well with just white letters matching the title except of the E4 logo with purple on it so its easier to recognise and I think it isn't too distracting but enough to let the audience know what channel the show is on. I do think the quality of the picture isn't the best as in some areas its easier to see how pixelated it is however it isn't too bad. When I took the photo, I wish I got better lighting so the footprint was easier to see, that's why I needed to edit the photo to contrast the level of the footprint to the ground level. How it all comes together, the layout makes the viewer look at the middle of the poster where most of the important information is (Title, Picture) which relates to Primary Optical Area (POA) and Rule of Thirds (RoT) .My title is in the POA and them reading it leads them down to the picture and the rest of the poster. RoT is when a picture is split in three part and the most important things should be on/near the lines, if applied to my poster the Title is almost touching the lines as it is the most important thing. In general, I'm very happy with the result of the poster and I think it shows the message I wanted it to do.
